Hello, I really need help finding a smart, cool, outfit for Thursday. Senior meeting and I need to look smart and stay cool in the heat (menopause!).
Im 5’2 with a big belly and boobs and I need either a maxi dress that doesn’t swamp me but hides a tummy, perhaps wide trousers?
I cannot go shopping as no time.
help me.

Sorry but jumpsuits are a terrible suggestion. The chances of a jumpsuit fitting and being the right length first time are slim.

I wouldn’t wear a floral midi dress to a senior meeting but it depends on your industry I suppose.

There are still tiered dresses in cotton available. I do believe women don’t have to dress like men for meetings. Looking reasonably smart and presentable is just fine in summer .I own two of the attached from M&S and they can be dressed up! The green dress is great with the right accessories. The dark navy with streaks is also easy to elevate. They are comfortable to wear too.

@PurpleOrangeBlueGreen I understand your dilemma and I would suggest cotton and straight or tiered to lose the bumps. Lose the belts. A cami and trousers - not sure about you, but big boobs and a cami isn’t great. T shirt? Flowing top would work better with wider trousers to stay cool. Happy shopping.

Even so, It might be stressful to have to rely on delivery in such a short time frame.

The jumpsuit you suggested looks like party wear- not senior work meeting wear.

Jumpsuit shows a tummy! Avoid. Floral midi dress is fine with appropriate accessories. Women are allowed to wear florals unless they are barristers! Why do we tell ourselves we must stick to a uniform?

What about this -next day delivery and although it's cheap it could be dressed up with good jewellery-quality shoes ,sunglasses and a large statement bag .

What about a v neck tunic pop over style? H & M do them every year, this years model is 5' 11, so it looks short on her, but it would be below the knee on you. They come in plain colours, but the patterned one is the only one shown on a model. Not sure H & M do next day delivery though, but might be worth buying for the future, they're so reasonable...

Op, this will be much longer on you than me, but it’s stretchy and has ruching and is very flattering as I recently got it for the same reason. It is hard to know what to recommend without knowing your size and budget, but it disguises my tummy

I think to wear a tight fitting dress like the Hobbs one you don’t need lumps and bumps.

I’ve my fair share, and as it is thick stretchy material it fools the eye and smooths you out.
