Broken toenail fix for wedding guest!!

So I'm going to a wedding soon. Wearing sandals and due to get nails done. My nails are usually rubbish but like them tidy and painted in the summer. Have a dog who gets alot of walks but as the weather has been so crap of late I have been wearing alot of boots so instead of lightly tanned feet and some nail growth I have broken and chipped nails. Usually a redeemable problem...but this one nail break is quite bad. It is way down my nail bed so just wondering what I can do to
A... fix it for the wedding
B...help it grow in without it looking so bad

Thanks in advance.

One summer I badly damaged a big toe nail and used stick on fake toenails. They looked brilliant. Just from Amazon I think.

If you’re going to a nail salon they are the best people to sort this. They’ll have some sort of glue to stick down the broken bit and then polish on top to hide it.

Personally I’d get gel polish and let it grow out as I think that will help hold it together as it grows, but I’m not an expert, as the salon. Also that only works if you don’t mind the half grown out look for a while (I tend not to care other than for big events).

Thank you both for the suggestions. I know it will take ages for it to grow in again and sods law it's over the summer months when it's nice to have colourful nail do. If the nail tech can glue it and put a gel polish on it and it grow out a bit all the better but I suspect the removal process for the gel nail might make it even more unstable. 🤔

Yes, I’d be inclined to avoid removal until the break has grown out… so either live with the gel at half mast or get it infilled in the same colour

Thanks minipie, I'm not really precious about my nails so could live with it. I'm due to see my nail tech this Thursday so hope she can patch it up for the wedding. 🙏💅
