Steam Hair Straighteners

Can anyone recommend these?

Are they better than standard hair straighteners?

I have extremely fine, curly hair, and lots of it. I haven't straightened it for 5+ years, mainly because it used to take so long (1 hour!) and then always used to go frizzy with any humidity. Even sleeping made it curly/frizzy again. I used to use ghds.

I have tried to embrace the curly look and sometimes my curls do look amazing, but equally as often, I look like Edward Scissorhands (which was one of my many nicknames at school). I treat my hair as if it's made of gold....curly girl method, silk pillowcase etc. I just want it to be normal. I really do hate my fine curly frizzy hair.

I have read that the new steam straighteners, such as L'Oréal Steampod, are much quicker than standard straighteners, and also help straightend hair resist humidity.

Has anyone with my hair type tried these? Are they as good as the reviews suggest? Should I buy them?

I've used them for years and love them. I used to use ghds and felt the dried out my hair. I have naturally curly shoulder hair and it only takes about 5 minutes to straighten it once I've blow-dried.
