Non Toxic Lipsticks & Yuka App

I’ve recently been using the Yuka app to scan foods in order to eat healthily (I have various health issues atm) and decided to scan my toiletries and makeup products as well. The Yuka app scans for any toxic ingredients.

I love wearing lipstick and I have a large collection of Charlotte Tilbury, Mac and Guerlain. To my horror they are all at least ‘poor’ and many ‘bad’. Even brands like Aveda are not looking great either.

I cannot seem to find any easily available alternatives. I’d like to buy in person to check shades and double check with the Yuka app.

Suggestions anyone?

Maybe try Etsy for some natural ones?

Do some research into what dermatologists and beauty insiders think about apps like Yuka and the rest of them.

They feed on people's fear that chemical=bad, natural=good and give recommendations for alternatives for your "bad" product that are almost always from MLMs and affiliates and haven't been nearly as stringently tested for safety as the "bad" products they're trying to make you not buy.

Nadine Baggott recently did an interview on her Instagram with a toxicologist -dermatologist who explained that the rise in dermatitis and other skin irritations in recent years is totally down to people using products without preservative agents (parabens) and falling for the clean beauty scam.
