Please help me in my quest for the perfect knicker...M&S just not right.

So here's what I need - plain black, high leg, cotton with lycra, no lace. Nice waistband at the top (like Calvin Kleins) so no roll-over. I like them to come high up and give decent coverage (no string sides).

M&S's The Knicker used to be perfect for me but now it only comes in a sort of nylon, tactel thing which I can't deal with. They do another - dare I say - bog-standard hi leg but the fabric quality isn't good and the waistband is mean.

I've tried Sloggi but I don't love them and I don't think the fabric is very good quality. I've looked at Hanro but they seem to cost £1000 each. And Calvin Klein would not go anywhere near me!

I'm eeking every last wear out of my ageing original The Knickers...but I could be run over by a bus any day now and I urgently need nice new knicks.

Ooh, that sounds like my perfect knicker.

Watching this!

Soo good to know that it's just not me that feels the same way about M & S knickers.....so I'm keeping a close eye on this thread too

I'm getting old. I was looking for that kind of thing in M&S t'other day.

All I could find was low rise shorts (no, they go up my bum and my belly goes over the top) or Old Women Pants.

Grrr...

I've had them from Tesco (F&F) in the past - plain black high leg not tactel. Not as trendy as CK though
