What shoes to go with this dress ?

I am considering keeping this dress but not sure if I need a size down but I need inspiration for shoes / sandals
I live in Birkenstock /DMs and trainers so nothing high maybe a low wedge ?
It's navy stripes so do I go navy or tan / nude ? Help !

That's a beautiful, classic dress. Personally I would go with nude wedges if you really can't manage a small heel?

the blue and white sandals might be to matchy matchy.
i would go with a solid of any color choice blue, white, or popular now rattan.
to be on the safe side i would do one flat slide, one low espadrille, and one higher heel.
