Dinner in Manchester - something summery, smart and not too expensive?

I've not been out for dinner in possibly literally years and I LOVE manchester but always notice how stylish people are when they're going out.

I live in jeans and work from home so haven't got a clue what to buy - I've been browsing Asos and Next - it's a work dinner but a "fun" one...

I'm nearly 50, 12-14 about 5' 7 thick waisted... Something I can order online and get ASAP ideally! Any ideas very welcome! Thanks x

Where are you going? I can’t think of anywhere that jeans, a nice top and a blazer wouldn’t be smart enough for.

What would you say you prefer? Dresses or jeans/ trousers ?
