hold up stockings for thicker thighs?

I dont really like wearing tight, wanted to get some stocking/ hold ups but always find they dig into my fat thighs right where my saddlebags are (im normally slim-ish everywhere else) Ive tried buying M&S and even large and extra large sizes, but they look awful

must I wear suspender belts and stockings, or is there an alternative?

thankyou

I have humungous thighs and I wear holds ups - from John Lewis -- cost about £6 but they have a lovely wide band at the top that does not dig in... will try to dig out the name later..

Stockings HQ do them in a huge range of sizes and their prices are great too. I find the lace tops are best as they grip over a bigger area.

Wolford do lovely ones that come right up to the top of your legs

I bought some great hold ups from John Lewis as well- I think they're made by Charnos? Or possibly Woolford? They are pricey but have lasted for ages, and really comfort. Take it from me, my thighs are v.chunky!
