Has anyone else had this with Saltwater sandals?

I first bought a pair this time last year after hearing so many great things about them. I loved them immediately. Until 2 weeks later I noticed the ankle strap on one of them looked like it had been yanked on and had started to come out of the sole. I sent them an email and they sent me a new pair, now a year later and I’ve just noticed that one of them is doing the exact same thing as the last one that broke!! I don’t understand why mine are doing this 😫 I’ve heard nothing but good things about them!

I don’t know what to do, would they replace them again, after a year? Iirc they cost me £65, I don’t have that kind of money to fritter away on sandals that break. I bought them because I’d seen people say they’d had theirs for years and they were still going strong. I thought “Great! Lovely comfy sandals that will last me a long time.” ☹️

Has anyone else had this issue with their sandals?

I’ve had mine for over 5 years and no issues.

Mine never did this. Do you think you are walking strangely on that side for any reason? It's odd the same thing on 2 separate pairs.

I've had mine for years and years and not had this.

I don’t think so? I just double checked (I still have the old ones, I just use them as sliders for the garden) and they have broken in exactly the same place on both sandals, on the outside of the left foot Confused maybe it IS my walking, although if it is, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

It's amazing what your gait can do to shoes. If you have a look at trainers you might see a wear inside on the same edge? A lot of woman have spinal curvatures (heavy bags in teen years) or even swollen ankles - I'd suggest it's probably not the shoe if it's the same side and place.

A cobbler could fix that for you

Not trying to shame or anything - it's very annoying for you and your new shoes, obviously!

I wear memory foam Skechers and apart from where my toes go they don’t tend to leave much of an imprint. Annoyingly I just tossed out my old worn ones so I can’t check.

I think it means you overpronate, check out other shoes for worn patches on inside heel... I’d probably contact Saltwater again and see if they will send another pair?
