Has Loreal paris glow clay face wash been discontinued??

Hi everyone, does anyone know if the loreal paris glow clay face wash (the red one) has been discontinued or not?

I have been trying to find it everywhere and was buying it from amazon but now i cant find it anywhere except for the black charcoal one which doesnt exfoliate (doesnt have the grainy bits) and i am absolutely gutted because i break out with other face washes and this one worked perfectly for me!

Does anyone know of a dupe for this product? I have found a few pink clay washes but non of them have exfoliating grains in them.. and i cant find any red clay exfoliators at all! i hate it when beauty brands do this.. 😔😢

I’m not sure if they’re the same but I’ve used the black one in a jar and it’s always been in a jar each time I’ve bought it. There are two others in jars too, one of which is red (can’t remember what colour the other is).

MochaBear · 17/06/2024 16:18

Ah, ok 😊 I imagine they’re slightly different. The black mask one in the jar I have only stays on for 5 minutes.

I use a lovely brown sugar scrub which suits my sensitive combination skin, but I know it varies for each person.

BreatheAndFocus · 17/06/2024 16:28

I just checked Ebay and it’s only there from abroad and for £35 so maybe it has been discontinued.

MochaBear · 17/06/2024 18:04

@BreatheAndFocus oh no.. the worst thing is that there is no other exfoliating red clay wash out there 😩 i just dont know why they do this to us 😭 been looking for something similar but to no avail.. not within the price range that i want anyway

I was just googling this and your thread came up. I’ve been looking everywhere too. The jar is the same as the tube I have been using the jar one since Christmas as I bought a couple in a clearance sale. But not had any luck finding it since.

MochaBear · 21/06/2024 23:17

@AliceMcK the other poster posted a link for the red jar its on amazon.. theres only 7 left in stock so you better stock up because it will literally disappear from the face of the earth eventually 😭😭

@MochaBear have you ordered it? Is it the exfoliating one? I bought the black clay one as that use to be exfoliating but isn’t anymore. I was worried they have changed it as the jar looks different.

Sorry ignore that, I’m just reading the reviews and it definitely exfoliates. Will get some x

MochaBear · 22/06/2024 11:17

@AliceMcK i bought it once a couple of years ago and yeah it was exfoliating, also smells the same.. i just didnt like the idea of dipping my fingers in it repeatedly to take the product out etc. Thats why i preferred the tube x

Your link to the red clay one is a face scrub. Not something to be used everyday. You know your skin though. Murad exfoliating cleanser might be an alternative for you. It's more expensive though.
Ren do a nice clay wash but no bits in it

YourFluentCrab · 22/06/2024 19:53

Look fantastic has it as 'stock coming soon'

MochaBear · 22/06/2024 23:11

@YourFluentCrab yeah but that sign has been there since last summer 😞

@NiceUnusualDifferent yeah i only exfoliate every two to three days and use the loreal charcoal one in between as i have sensitive skin anyways but if i dont use anything to scrub my face it gets very grimey and dull with breakouts.. murad seems like a nice option but unfortunately is pricey for me at the moment.. was looking at st Ives but the problem is it doesnt contain any clays :/

Have you tried chemical exfoliating instead of physical? There are some great acid toners which are much gentler on your skin but more effective exfoliation.

FormerlyPathologicallyHappy · 23/06/2024 08:16

Dermalogica do a clay wash but it’s pricey. Their stuffs quite concentrated though so you don’t need a lot.

They don’t tend to discontinue a lot either on the core range, I’ve been using the same cleanser and mask since for 24 years.

MochaBear · 23/06/2024 12:16

@NiceUnusualDifferent i have been looking into them but not got around to trying them yet as i have a 6 month old baby and a toddler so a quick face scrub or wash is what i tend to reach for until i start getting more time for myself 😮‍💨

@FormerlyPathologicallyHappy yeah i tried that years and years ago and although it was great for trewting my teenage acne i felt it made my skin feel really dry and tight and i didnt like the tingly cool sensation.. idk if it still has that though as i last used it over 10 years ago x
