I gave my face a mini microdermabrasion last night and lots of people have commented on how nice I look today

[modest]

seriously, I scrubbed my (congested, blotchy, a bit oily) face with this - not meant for the face

I went quite pink

skin smooth and glowing this am

will repeat in a day or so

Crikey Enid .

If I put that near my face I wouldn't be able to leave the house for about 3 days until the Frankenstein effect wore off.

Glad it worked for you .

Enid · 08/04/2008 10:26

no seriously

am quite sensitive normally

but its just shea butter, olive oil and salt

I only did forhead, nose and chin and a teeny bit on cheeks

was very very effective

Looks good, thanks for the tip.I often use a mixture of sugar or salt with a little moisturiser to make an impromptu scrub. It does the trick and is a fraction of the price of expensive products

Anna8888 · 08/04/2008 10:33

I bought the Soap & Glory Scrub Your Nose In It face scrub for my elder stepson when we were in England at Easter (before removing his burgeoning collection of blackheads... eeeugh ).

Maybe I should try it on me?

Anna8888 · 08/04/2008 10:35

I want to have a makeover, actually. A spa day. Am feeling very wintry and tired and realising that for the first time in my life my body looks better than my face

Enid · 08/04/2008 10:36

I find facial scrubs too weak

I had some blocked pores and congested looking skin (errgh) and I need serious action

was nervous about reaction but none so far

I'm so hideously lazy, I can get zillions of great products from my partner's shops and I never bother.

But I don't really like being fiddled with either.

I want to be very, very glamourous and beautiful though .

Enid · 08/04/2008 10:41

yes me too

would take me at least a full day every fortnight to remain glam and beautiful nowadays

Enid I use Time delay microdermabrasion kit and its really good. Stops my skin looking like the surface of the moon.

Enid · 08/04/2008 10:45

was considering buying that

but seriously this stuff is good (havent tried time delay though) and cheaper

Am going (with family) to hotel with spa in a fortnight.

Might seriously think of submitting myself to someone's else's attentions

Enid · 08/04/2008 11:46

I had the Ren rose body scrub when I was in berlin

was absolutely amazing

I felt great for about 3 days

Yes, the more I think about it the more I feel the need to lie back and be anointed and massaged.

Must still muster energy for waxing and hairdresser before we go.

moondog · 08/04/2008 12:26

Blimey Enid. Go easy!

Expat and I like L'Oreal Refinish

casbie · 08/04/2008 14:54

just buy a decent facial sponge and use normal soap?

much easier and it means you don't have loads of product on your bathroom window sill!

booge · 08/04/2008 15:19

I use their hand cream, it's lovely.

zippitippitoes · 08/04/2008 15:24

oh i use the loreal one

i know they are nestle

i have also used the renoviste ant ageing glycol peel kit

which i thought would be lethal and peel actually

but in fact it doesnt

i havent done it as a programme tho which would probably be more effective rathyer than just the odd time

Deux · 08/04/2008 16:31

Sounds great, must try.

Bodyshop Pumice Foot Scrub is great for exfoliating legs before self-tan and useless for feet. Haven't attempted that on face though as it is quite gritty.

Enid · 08/04/2008 16:33

casbie then you have to keep washing it = pain in the arse
