Desperately need new trainers. Have been wearing TOMS but they're just not giving me the support I need at the moment.
I don't want white or black trainers, I don't mind spending a bit if they're good.
Every time I find something I like, I realize the company is a scam, or they're actually hideous shoes according to everyone else (didnt realise gabor was so awful!).

Please help!
I wear lots of green, navy, jeans

Adidas gazelles or Spezial are classic, I love them.

Dozycuntlaters · 14/06/2024 14:40

I've just bought myself some really comfy trainers from Fit-vill. They are wider in the toes than normal trainers and have the supportive heel arch thing. They are so comfy - got them in a nude pink colour and they are quite chunky so look nice - well I like them anyway.

These are the the ones I got

Not a sportswear label but I got some Hush and they have survived city breaks with no discomfort. I wear them daily.

I have footwear from Gabor. It's a good make.

Notquitethere60 · 14/06/2024 19:05

I couldn’t tell you what anyone was wearing on their feet when I was out shopping recently. Loads of trainers. I too think Gabor or even Skechers are fine. As long as they’re comfortable who cares?

EmmaStone · 14/06/2024 19:07

I bought some gorgeous Nike trainers in Office (I'm sure other retailers would sell them too) recently - pink and green. I love them.

Hoff

Sprinklechops · 14/06/2024 19:40

Thanks for these! There are some good suggestions!
What's up with the really chunky soles? Are they flat inside or is it hiding a heel? Do they look good on. I'm a size 6 shoe but only 5'3 so my feet can sometimes look a bit big for my body... Don't want to add to that

Some of the big sports direct and decathlon stores have a machine to scan your feet and tell you what size and styles will fit you the best

Catnipcupcakes · 14/06/2024 20:45

I like my Puma trainers. I’m not really a trainers girl but they’re quite pretty (I got a pink pair and a grey pair), a great fit and lovely and supportive.

I have duck feet. The machines would probably short out.

I love my Gabor trainers!

MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 14/06/2024 21:37

Adidas Gazelles or Victoria Berlin 👌

RallySooney · 14/06/2024 21:38

Love Hoff and recently bought a pair from Woden. Both great brands.
