Why does my hair always look so flat? 😑 My hair is considered quite thick

Hi,

Just that really. Always had very thick hair, which has definitely thinned over the years, but I would say I still do have thick hair, just not super thick.

However, it always looks flat at the roots and then bushy and dry/fried on the ends. It takes forever to dry, but it still ends up looking like I've painted it on at the top 😒

Any tips?

I also have thick hair but it doesn’t have any volume so it looks flat. My hairdresser told me to set the roots with your head upside down as that can help. It has helped on hair washing days.

Root perming will give a volume at the hair root area but, unfortunately, doesn’t last long (1-1,5 months).
Another option is getting a haircut that will thin the ends a bit and give a volume at the roots. I personally don’t like volume so I keep my hair straight without any layering. But layers will give volume for sure.
Wella has affordable (£4) and good hair volume mousse in a red bottle.
