Budget friendly tinted moisturiser for Asian skin

I hardly ever wear full makeup, but when I do, I use tinted moisturiser rather than foundation.

There seems to be a lot out there, but I'm looking for something that just makes me look a bit fresher rather than painted over IYSWIM.

If you have East Asian skin yourself, then what do you use?

Thank you un advance.

Do you know your undertones? I'm part SEA and inherited the undertones and it's really tricky with western products. Even lightweight products can feel like a mask because the colour is just a tiny bit off. If you're on the lighter side you can look at Korean and Japanese products as they cater to the undertones better (but there's an emphasis on lightening the skin). The only lightweight western product with good undertones that I've found is not a budget option, it's the skin tint by Lisa Eldridge. Before finding this (and that's still my daily go to) I just used a slightly lighter concealer on the high points of my face.

You could consider looking into highlighting primers, dupes of CT's Wonderglow, like Elf's Halo Glow, and just wear that on its own. It has some tint but it's very sheer and blends into the skin and gives a glow. I haven't tried it yet but shade 2 does look East Asian friendly.

Thank you for your reply @botemp. Your suggestions on products are helpful, and I will go and look them up.

Apparently, I have cooler undertones, so the slightly pale shade would suit me rather than yellow. I do use just concealer under my eyes at the moment over moisturiser, and that's a light shade.
