Please help me find an outfit - 6 weeks postpartum and lost my way

We are having some professional family photos taken next week as we have a 6 week old DS (if you think this is tacky/cliche it’s not the thread for you!)! The photos will be taken in our home so very casual setting, the photographer is the same we had for our wedding and the pictures are very casual. It won’t be posed etc.

I really need to help finding something to wear. I’m having a crisis with my wardrobe, I expected to shrink back down to my normal size which is an 8-10 but I’m still about 1 1/2 stone heavier than I was so none of my clothes fit me. I had a csection and my wound has taken a while to heal so can’t wear anything tight on my tummy, which rules out jeans (I usually live in jeans)! Budget is up to £100. Quite like the idea of a jumpsuit.

I used to love shopping and clothes but now have no idea what to wear! My old style was quite casual and I lived in my boyfriend/mom jeans with nice trainers and top, but jeans are out. I do have some wide leg trousers that fit but think they make me look enormous (maybe I am enormous)!!

Ideally it will be an outfit I can rewear as I’ve completely lost me way when it comes to clothes.

Can anyone help? I may be able to get to the shops if not it needs to be a last minute order.

What size are you? What colours do you like? Do you want something that you can wear trainers with or do you want to dress up?
I don’t understand the love of jumpsuits on here, would a shirt style dress hit the mark?

Have a look at Carys Whittaker on instagram she posts loads of outfit ideas for "midsize" "round belly" girls. She links her outi
fits so I think you'll find something nice that you can wear for the photoshoot that won't aggravate your tummy.
