I need a new one and can't seem to find one that I like. I am a typical pear shape, not much up top, size 14.

Definitely a tankini or one piece as a 10lb DD1 put paid to any chance of a bikini ever!

Please offer advice, we are off on holiday next week and I need to buy one this week.

bhs is remarkably good

Oooh thanks MrsBadger, I like their spotty halterneck thing, would that help with a lack of bosom do you think, or just make it worse? (B cup)

Halternecks are best for small bosoms. I ordered spotted halterneck swimming costume from Boden and it is fab. Very 1950s

HuwEdwards · 07/04/2008 12:09

am 'a' cup and halters do nothing for me. I got this www.laredoute.co.uk/style/Draped-Effect-TANKINI.aspx?ProductId=324116259&DocumentId=210008&CompanyId =R&source=4 in blue and the draped top looks great!

FritziGreenEyes · 07/04/2008 12:11

This is it:
www.boden.co.uk/col.asp?styid=AK106&segname=Women&segid=6&gpname=Swimwear&desname=Boyleg+Swimsuit&gp id=21&gen=1&col=

But might take too long to deliver as you're already off next week.

I got a lovely two piece from debenhams yesterday, plain black with built in bra plus suck your tummy in bottoms to go with it, brough 12 for top and 14 for bottoms. i got the top of one pair and bottoms of another hth and they had money off, think the bottoms were nearly £7 and the top was nearly £12

bratnav · 07/04/2008 12:30

Oooh Fritzi, that is amazing, just what I was looking for! Only one thing, will the low legline make my thighs look big(ger)?

primark have got some fantastic swimwear in at the moment. I got some shorts and tankini top (halter neck) which fits better than any expensive one I have tried, and bargain prices. (£7)They have loads of different colours and styles and tops and bottoms sold seperately so no worries on sizes.

FritziGreenEyes · 07/04/2008 20:00

My thighs are not gazelle-like either I find that low leg has advantage of covering all of my bum as there is also more fabric. you could try putting on self-tan on legs. tanned legs are supposed to look slimmer than pale, pasty ones (or so I was told)
Enjoy your holiday, bratnav. Where are you going btw [nosy emoticon]

Just off to Watermouth Cove in North Devon (a hop skip and jump for us) but there is an indoor pool which the DDs will be howling to get into!

Fake tan taken care of, we are doing it tonight
