My Birkenstocks are no longer comfortable

I've lived in birkies from spring to autumn for years. I used to buy the toe ones but last year I bought the two wide strap style. They were fine last year but since I started wearing them this year they aren't comfortable and my foot is actually bruised at the side. I could replace with another pair of toe style but does anyone have any good recommendations? Criteria are must be very comfortable for lots of walking, available in fake leather, last 2 seasons and not look like those walking boot type sandals Because I'm not ready for that!
thank you:)

I have recently bought a pair of Fit Flops because I'm having the same problem due to a bunion. I don't love them but they are comfy .

Thanks - I will have a look!

You may need to break them in again. I had the same due to weight loss, all my shoes fit differently some that were dead comfy had to be given to charity.

I wanted some Birkenstocks this year but find them uncomfortable so bought a very similar pair in Clarks that are like walking on air.

Interesting! Thanks to wegovy I am 1.5 stone lighter than I was last year 😆 I've poked holes in the straps to make them tighter and I'm going to see if that helps! Maybe they got looser combined with me losing weight and my feet and slipping about too much

@DracoDormiensNumquamTittilandum , feet don't stay the same size. If you change your lifestyle (e.g. take up running or become pregnant) your feet can spread out. Yours have probably done the opposite due to having less weight on them.

Which ones were these?
