Does my idea of the perfect grey trouser exist?

I’m looking for the ultimate pair of grey trousers:
-mid/high waist with a decent waist band (to strap my mum tum in)
-with pockets
-long enough (I just don’t get get the half mast look?)
-towards the narrower end of the wide leg spectrum (don’t want to take flight if the wind gets up)

I’m wanting to wear them with trainers for a relaxed, smart/casual look.
Has anyone seen them anywhere? I’ve had a look through my usual places (Hush, whistles, Me and Em) but none are quite right.
Would really Appreciate any suggestions :)

What size? What fabric? Maximum budget?

Those sort of trousers are usually best in grey flannel (wool) so you’ll find more in the Autumn collections. You can get them in Summer weight wool, but a good pair won’t be cheap.

Oh those Cos trousers are lovely. I want them. In autumn, too hot now.

Look on intrend uk, which sells max mara with labels cut out. It's their online outlet.

I have them (in navy) - they are very fine wool indeed and would be ok to wear except on the very hottest of days. Would definitely recommend!

These 100%. I have bought in 3 colours as they're perfect, the elastication at the back means they fit beautifully and I could go down a size. I'm 5"9 and the length is great.

I have a sticky out bum, and straight trousers are a strange shape on me.
Used to be parallel trousers, same width all the way down - ideal!

I quite like these. You can choose a length as well. The grey is nice and dark - charcoal.
