Hello! I am attending a "destination wedding" at the end of October. Beach style. Although (slightly odd to me) the dress code is black tie (the bride is American, I think it's more common in the US). The invite says for ladies, floor length / gown (I think in UK English this is the equivalent of ball type dress)?
Anyway, looking for some inspiration on brands etc. I will aim for floor length but I think it's fine if it's more midi as long as dressy enough. I am size 6-8, flat chested. Colouring, anything OK but probably not pastel. I love colour and print, and if money was no object I'd be looking at Alemais, Celia B, Rixo, Farm Rio (although actually they seem to be leaning to more casual in the newer stuff) type things (absolutely love this: Quest Dress – CELIA B but sold out and out of budget really). Have also sometimes had success with Asos (e.g. Asos Edition), Mango, the usual high street suspects.
I have looked into renting but I'm not based in the UK and my options are more limited. Also scouring vinted etc but again, different results than in the UK. So for now, assuming will buy something - I guess looking around 100, could maybe stretch to 200 if had some re-wear potential...
I know I still have a lot of time but figured it might be harder when the shops are full with winter clothes!
