Whistles slim black jersey jacket for funeral

Is the Whistles slim jersey jacket too informal to wear with a black pencil skirt for a funeral?
I need something I can order to collect when I arrive in Edinbugh the day before my mum's funeral and here in France the shops are full of summer stuff:

Clothes should be the last thing on my mind, but she was very elegant

I totally get it, my mum was the same I deliberated a lot on what to wear for her funeral, hope it goes as well as it can.

Thinking of you - like an earlier poster said, at least you'll be a little comfier and cosier in it than a v structured suit jacket. Times like these, you need all the comfort and snuggle you can get.
