I got my highlights done yesterday
She was rushing and seemed like she couldn't be bothered.
Is it just me or do they seem a bit all over the place ?

No I wouldn’t be happy, they do look a bit uneven in distance from the root.

saadandsadder · 30/05/2024 13:35

They are all different distances which is driving me crazy

It looks like there's been a good few weeks of outgrowth already unfortunately. I'd go back and ask for them to fix it (although, in reality, not sure I really would as I'd find this really awkward! I'd probably just switch hairdressers IRL!).

saadandsadder · 30/05/2024 14:19

Should they be close to the root ?
I paid £150 for a t section and cut and not happy really

They are uneven. At that price, I'd be asking for a refund and then change hairdressers

TruthorDie · 30/05/2024 16:11

No. Too striped and not close enough to the roots

BingAndTing · 30/05/2024 16:22

Mine are always at the root, to look like the natural hair growth. They look like the hair in this pic after a few weeks x

TomatoSandwiches · 30/05/2024 16:28

No 👎

Utterlyexhausted · 30/05/2024 16:38

You'd look great if it was the early 2000's...sorry you have to go through this. The hairdresser should have done very fine highlights..you've got thick stripes. Is there a more senior stylist that can fix it for you?

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 30/05/2024 16:40

They're nowhere near the root! I wouldn't be happy at all.

CommeUneVacheEspagnole · 30/05/2024 18:19

£150 for a T section alone is a joke. Let alone one where it's just been thrown at the head and hope for the best. It's different consistencies of colour and thickness and no where near your roots!

That being said, I only noticed because you pointed it out and I'd think you hadn't had it done for a while.

hohohowheniscmascoming · 30/05/2024 18:51

Was the parting in a different place

GoodnightJude1 · 30/05/2024 18:57

No, I wouldn’t be happy and I’d be asking for a refund and finding a new hairdresser.
I pay £90 for T section and cut so tbh I’d want a much better job than that for £150!

saadandsadder · 30/05/2024 19:32

I also got my brown roots done everywhere else to hide the greys
Do you think this might be where she went wrong
I'm annoyed because I hate having roots
And this was the senior stylist too

OP posts:
suburburban · 30/05/2024 19:38

Yes not near enough to roots

BettyBlueHat · 30/05/2024 19:43

I would not be happy. Looks like you got it done weeks ago. I’d be appalled at that, especially from a senior stylist.

ask for them to fix it or a full refund. Show them the pics you have here

saadandsadder · 31/05/2024 08:13

I don't suppose anyone is from Newcastle upon Tyne and can recommend any good hairdressers ?

OP posts:
Zahava · 31/05/2024 08:20

@saadandsadder Hadleys Hairdressers on Saville Row (just off Northumberland St) are fantastic

AnnieSF · 31/05/2024 08:43

It all depends on what you asked for although I would say they are not close to your scalp. I always ask for them to be as close as they can do. I can have hair look like that when dirty or not properly styled but when styled the stripes are not so obvious. What did you ask for? Was it your first time with her?

Overthebow · 31/05/2024 08:45

No they’re way too obvious and stripy and also uneven. Not subtle at all, it’s like we all used to have as teenagers in the 2000s. Definitely ask for a refund or for it to be put right.

saadandsadder · 31/05/2024 09:24

@AnnieSF no it's my regular salon
She rushed it and I was out in less than 1 hour 20
I asked for a t section highlights and the rest of my hair natural root colour to colour the greys

I get a half head of highlights and root touch up and it takes her nearly 1 1/2 hours to do the foils!
