Tonight I am wearing mostly clingfilm. And mud.

I'm hennaing my hair.

I'm sitting here with my head wrapped up in clingfilm, my ears and hairline shine with grease, and I have a cottonwool crown (to catch drips). I must look such a...vision.

Wondering how long to leave it, though.

Anyone used Lush's Caca Marron? On dark brown hair with a sprinkling of white. I want to turn the whites red, without changing the rest too much.

I leave henna as long as poss - although I haven't done it for yonks because it doesn't seem to suit me any more. 3-4 hours if you have the patience, overnight if you like living dangerously (and have camouflage pillowcases)

3-4h - eeek!

I've never used this brand before, always used pure ground henna root in the past, and never left that on for longer than 40mins or so!

Oh, just read the bit about not changing the rest too much (sheepish ) . Erm, not so long then.,..

Well, I kept it on for 1.5h in the end, and there's barely any change. The whites are no longer as bright white as they were, but neither are they red - at all!

I'm disappointed. Shall have to find some full-strength pure root somehow.

Proper health food shops can often buy it loose.
