Smart but plain t-shirt style tops for work

Hi all, v sorry if this has been done before, tried to search but haven't come up with anything. I'm looking for good quality but plain t-shirt style tops to wear with smart trousers for work. Like maybe thick t-shirts? I had a look around John lewis, there were some in some of the concessions but they were £50 and didn't look amazing quality. Thanks v much!

I’m looking for these too. Next had a really good style last year - a woven front and a jersey back, in a slightly smart t shirt cut. I don’t think they’re doing them again this year and I’m annoyed with myself for not buying more colours last year.

I’ve got some linen t shirts from M&S which are quite good. I can’t link but they’re the £29.50 ones.

Uniqlo is great for these, knitted t shirts, lovely quality tops/tees, and feminine blouses.

Kettlewell tops are great, but not cheap. However, ethical and wash well. I like the different necklines and the double fronted tops. Also Spirit of the Andes but not if you're tall.

Thanks so much all, there's a Uniqlo near work so I'll try and pop in this week and investigate the others in the meantime.

I'm a tall size 12 so it sounds like Spirit of the Andes is sadly out.

I'm happy to spend the money for quality but it's hard to judge whether what I'm seeing in the shops is just expensive and will go out of shape and look like a paper bag in a couple of washes....

Uniqlo currently have some nice linen t-shirts. If you can get to a muji, theirs are good quality too.

Cos.
I'm wearing their white and black ones for work at the moment from two years ago. They're cotton t shirts but with a swingy hem.

Try Cotton Traders. I kitted myself out with a bunch of these recently for the same reason. Thick, quite cheap and wash well so far.

The Aimee range of t shirts from Hobbs is my go to. They're a nice heavy fabric and wash really well. I've had my current set (4 different colours) for about 3 years and they're still going strong despite weekly wearing during Spring/Summer
