Any hair colourists about?

This is my hair currently but I'd like to go blonde.

But I don't know what I want or what to ask for.

I think my hair is virgin, I did dye it a few years ago, black but it was very long ago and I got it cut off so I think it's all new hair now.

How blonde is it possible to go? Just want a change up but never been hairdressers for colour before!

Would something like that be possible?

To get it as blond as your inspiration photo is not impossible but it would take a skilled colourist and would take multiple sessions of bleaching/highlights plus toning to get that icy platinum colour.
Could cost a lot of money and will probably cause damage to your hair.
Sometimes with very dark hair it isn't possible to get it that light. You can get it blonde but perhaps not that icy without causing alot of damage.

Your hair is gorgeous!

I spoke to a hairdresser recently about getting a similar look to what you posted and she said it would take a few sessions. I couldn’t be doing with the faff and cost in the end. But she said it would be doable. Maybe book in for a consultation and see what they say? They’ll want to do a patch test anyway.

If your hair is all virgin, then a light blonde is definitely achievable, it depends on the condition, but it looks pretty good from the picture.

I've had it this blonde before but I did it myself.

I've had it baby pink and all sorts. I've just never been to a salon to get it done but I'd really like to get highlights rather than full colour

If you got that result at home then a stylist will have no problem at all.

I always do it in a day. 2 seperate bleachings.

I just haven't done it in years and tbh just can't be bothered doing it myself.

I am an ex stylist and I recently did my daughters, 2 bleach sessions and then a high lift tint. Her hair is really stubborn too. I hope you get the result you are after.

Yes absolutely possible if it is truly virgin hair (most people's hair grows about half an inch a month and yours isn't very long, so if you coloured it more than a year ago I'd say it's gone).
I'd recommend looking up some salons in your local area and look at their social media - a lot of hairdressers use Instagram to promote their work. Look for stylists who've done something similar to the photo you've posted. Go for a consultation first if unsure.

Your hair looks lovely in that first pic.
