What do we think?

Just had a look. It's not saying "buy me". I got an amazing Beauty Box from Boots in Jan/Feb.

LiterallyOnFire · 22/05/2024 12:06

I haven't finished dividing mine up with DD yet, but I thought it was pretty good. The two perfumes were unusual. (I still buy Black Tulip as an alternate after getting it in a previous M&SSBB).And the Perfect legs Body butter smelt delicious.

It's not as good a bargain as the Liberty beauty drop but I quite like one or two curated beauty bags a year, and this is a good one.

tantrumingcoldchild · 22/05/2024 12:45

@AnnieSF agreed. I like all of the various moisturiser options, but two fragrances???? Scent is so personal.

I may buy anyway though.

I usually buy this but this year it doesn't really grab me. The price has gone up, although I know the products are worth it but I'm just not feeling the enthusiasm. I already have some duplicates from previous bags/advent calendars so I will save my money this time. Hopefully their Advent beauty calendar will be worthwhile.

Abitorangelooking · 22/05/2024 13:16

It’s very similar to the Christmas offering but £30 for half the products. I’d rather pay the extra £10 for the rest. I’ve bought it but next year it’ll be a no unless dramatically different.

Floofydawg · 22/05/2024 13:29

I'm going to go against the grain and say I think it's a bargain - I've had them for the last 3 years and I think this year's is just as good. Maybe the products in it just happen to suit my taste. The L'Occitane shower gel alone is worth £17.50.

I do think it’s good value it’s just we had the same bunch of stuff in December and I’ve still got half of it. Will crack open the verbena today!

Floofydawg · 22/05/2024 13:40

Ah, I didn't get the Christmas one. I tend to only buy the summer ones ready for summer holidays.

.

Remagirl · 22/05/2024 23:25

I always buy these and love all the products. Factor 50 will be great for hols, moisturisers look good. Mine arrives tomorrow 🤩

Underpressure91 · 23/05/2024 20:16

Posted this on another thread too but does anyone know what happens if you return the other items to get the minimum spend? I didn’t do this intentionally but hate all the clothes I bought!

Boogieondownn · 23/05/2024 23:52

Well I took the linen shirt back after I’d given dd the beauty bag. No issues!

Didley · 24/05/2024 07:39

I bought a dress and the beauty bag online. Unfortunately the dress was too big and I took it back to my local store. They didn't have another dress in a lower size so I got a refund for the dress. I said I bought the beauty bag too for the offer price of £30 the assistant said that it was OK I can keep beauty bag at no extra cost. They don't refund beauty stuff etc.

Allschoolsareartschools · 24/05/2024 07:55

I missed out on the advent calendar so I was keen to get this one. I was ordering some other stuff anyway so the £30 was a bargain.
I think both the fragrances are nice & the neutral Pixi lip gloss is much better than an unsuitable lipstick or nail varnish shade.
Unbelievably the leg body butter costs £38 on its own & while I'd never pay that, it is really good. Same for the shower gel at £17.50!
No duds as far as I'm concerned, I'm happy with everything.

tantrumingcoldchild · 24/05/2024 12:05

I ended up buying it despite my misgivings. Hoping it arrives soon!

I'm pleased with mine. The leg body butter was in the 2022 summer bag and I used it all and loved it, but not enough to pay full price for another.
I love the shower gel; my favourite L'Occitane scent.
The Clinique moisturiser is good.
I've tried the lip balm and like it.
I wasn't sure about the Pixi lip gloss but I've tried it and it's ok.
The Factor 50 will be used on holiday.
I didn't like either perfume, and will be giving them both away.
Haven't tried the rest yet.

BobnLen · 24/05/2024 19:21

I just bought it, I wouldn't have bought something special to spend £35 but luckily I was buying underwear as I had 20% off Sparks offer (a rare thing) on bras and knickers and it does look quite good value.
