Looking for shorts with some elastic in waistband

Exactly that. I've got big thighs and butt but a smaller waist. Shorts that fit my bum have a baggy waist so I'm looking for some shorts with some elastic in waistband - or all elastic waistband. Lots of trousers in this style around, but struggling to find shorts. Ideally mid thigh or knee length....

Anyone got / seen any about? Thanks!

I saw some in Next earlier this week with a drawstring waist. If you look online, they also offer an hourglass version of some of their shorts.

Got some linen blend shorts from Next last year. The back bit of the waistband was elasticated. And nearer the knee that some other shorts.

I’ve got similar from FatFace, linen with a partly elasticated waist. I’m the same shape as you OP so I understand the problem. I think FatFace trousers generally aren’t bad; they do seem to realise that women go in at the waist and out at the hips!

@DuckonaBike are they these ones? They look to be fully elasticated, but short - although obviously that could just be a tall model!

I got some denim shorts with elasticated waist from Land’s End last year which
I have worn and worn.

Got several from next for holiday that accommodate thighs and stay up.
Have pockets but not sufficient to actually be functional (I work in horticulture)

Pretty true I’d say, I’m 5.8 and they are mid thigh on me

I've got some nice linen ones from Uniqlo with a bit of elastic in the waist.
I also recommend Abercrombie and Fitch Curve Love range. I've got jeans and trousers. They do shorts too - denim and more tailored shorts. They're cut smaller on the waist and bigger on the hips. The trousers fit so well.

@TinkyWinkyLala Not identical (I bought them last year and I’m not sure that the exact same ones are still available) but similar and the waistband looks very much the same.

I work in next and we have tonnes of shorts and lots with elastic half waists . I've also seen them in marks

Seems there are lots abd I need to look harder. I think part of the challenge is shopping online there is often no way way to filter for elasticated and its not always in the garment title. Thanks for all suggestions.

Suggest trying curve ranges, Abercrombie's Curve Love range does shorts cut for hourglass shapes

Lucy and yak Charlie shorts , really comfortable and not short, the models seem to wear them pulled up really high, but I'm 5'9 and they're perfectly long enough on me
