If it's the Regent's Park one just wear whatever, most people were in whatever they went shopping in. If it's at a stately home or similar people do dress up a bit, make sure you wear shoes to keep your feet warm not sandals, and add a wrap to whatever you are wearing as an extra layer for sitting still

Layers! Take a blanket to wrap around you, or accept that by the interval you will probably be cold.

You go for warm not good.

Lots of layers.

By the end you'll be freezing.

Mozzie spray.

Haha pps have got there already...warmth warmth warmth. No gauzy dresses unless you want to freeze.

Flattering puffer, maybe a flask with hot drink or alcohol. Better too many clothes than too few and you can put extras in bag. Maybe a blanket (unzipped sleeping bag) and hat.

Socks and boots. If you're sitting outside, rug or tarp to sit on. Also no bare legs, either trousers or super thick tights. It will get cold.

Layers, umbrella, and a (garden chair type) seat pad to sit on or your bum will be square/wet if raining.

I don't know why we do it to ourselves in this country... "oh that sounds lovely" , book it and then turn up and freeze our tits off
Same with the picnic concert nonsense. Then you are cold and carrying stuff at the end of the evening.

Indeed. My preferred open air venue is Regents Park (which has seating, bars etc.) on a Saturday matinee.

The lawn of a National Trust house in the dark and rain, with a lost car at the end of the evening, not so much!
