What trainers would you wear with shorts?

I am for the first time in my adult life going to embrace my pale legs and wear shorts this summer (most likely abroad 😂). The shorts I’ll wear are denim mom style and also linen. Going on a city break in June so wanting to wear some trainers with them, my question is what trainers would look good with mom style shirts/linen shorts? Is it the samba style? Or chunkier ones? And what socks?

I'm no fashionista ... but surely no socks ?
Or just those hidden annoying ones that slip under your feet before you've left the house

Whatever you want! I currently have colourful vans high tops and wear them with whatever socks I feel like. That can be black trainer socks that are invisible or sometimes longer patterned or brightly coloured socks. Be comfy ☺️

Apparently pulled up socks is trendy now! Either way trainer socks for me!

If it's lots of walking I'd go for new balance as they're so comfortable. Sambas are lovely but hurt some people

Converse, vans, Nike air max? I struggle not wearing socks so I prefer wearing sandals with shorts.

Samba/gazelles/converse etc will go. Adidas white bravada platform white trainers are currently my faves as they are genuinely the most comfortable trainers i have ever worn x

Any you find comfy and if you're walking around a lot I wouldn't care if my trainer socks were visible as long as they stayed over my heel!
I use a bit of leg make up to take the blueness off my super pale legs, I love Perfect Legs by This Works. A little does the job so a bottle lasts me a couple of summers.

Skechers bobs b cute are really comfy. I've worn with and without trainer socks. You have to size down as they run large so read reviews. I have adhd and sensory wise I need to be comfy but don't want to embarrass my children! These tick all the boxes. I've got three pairs in different colours now.

Thanks all for the suggestions! Will defo take a look at the leg make up and really like the look of the adidas white bravadas! I too thought it was trendy to have socks not showing (not saying that being trendy is the be all and end all) but have seen a lot of shorts styled with crew socks by brands so i wasn’t sure! It’s a minefield 😂
