Urgent need a dress for a dinner do!

My 22 year old dd has been invited to a big dinner (end of season sports thing).
We've never been before but I'm guessing it's a dressy occasion (men will be in suits but not tux). She has nothing applicable.
So we need something in a size 16, stunning and able to be brought on the high street or that I can order tonight for delivery tomorrow.
Please hit me with as many ideas as possible.

Then a systematic review of the high street shops so that you can go shopping when they open tomorrow

I'm not sure that one would work on a quite squishy size 16 I'm afraid.
