What type of cosmetic surgery is this?

Basically, my smile isn't straight. My mouth seems to be lob sided!

It isn't terrible but I'd like to fix it if I could

Does anyone know what type of plastic surgery that comes under?

I would have 5k max to spend once saved up

I guess it depends where the problem lies. I'd guess at either maxillofacial (max fax) or possibly cosmetic dentistry?

Iamacatslave · 17/05/2024 08:50

Cosmetic dentistry.

treatsortreating · 17/05/2024 09:12

I didn't think dentistry because the teeth are straight but I'm pretty sure it's the jaw that's the issue

murgugug · 17/05/2024 09:14

you look fine OP! Can't see an issue.

pharmachameleon · 17/05/2024 09:14

I'm looking for the flaw and really can't see it.

Crankyaboutfood · 17/05/2024 09:16

You look beautiful. There is nothing wrong.

Deekaytwo · 17/05/2024 09:16

You have a lovely smile, don't do a thing!

Idontjetwashthefucker · 17/05/2024 09:27

Nope, not seeing the issue

Disturbia81 · 17/05/2024 09:39

You have a beautiful smile! Don't change the little quirks, it makes you you.
Can't stand that so many automatons exist now with the same face

treatsortreating · 17/05/2024 14:12

Thank you! It just bugs me, that's all

I've asked some other people if they notice. But the people in question have trouble telling navy from black, so not sure how reliable they are Grin

They're both men of course but very honest (usually)

The place to start is your regular dentist. Ask them whether your bite is even and if there's an issue. They will be much more reliable.

I'd say there's absolutely nothing wrong with your face that requires surgical intervention though.

Dentist here!
difficult to tell from the photos( need more!) but you’re definitely being hyper critical. You very possibly have what’s called a slight camber, but it’s tiny, have you had any type of brace work in the past?

TCThree · 17/05/2024 14:30

You have a gorgeous smile, I wouldn't change a thing.
What lipstick/ gloss are you wearing please? I need a cool toned pink and that looks perfect

Verite1 · 17/05/2024 14:32

I think this is such a sad post. You have great teeth and lips and a beautiful smile!

That's really kind of you

Thank you, no, never had any braces

I think if you’re really concerned ( I personally don’t think you should be), then start with an orthodontic opinion. Your bite looks like some corrections could be made. But you would absolutely need to discuss what your concerns are, or you could end up getting things corrected that you didn’t feel were the original problem.

YorkNew · 17/05/2024 17:44

If there was a before and after photo you would be the after photo.

Amx · 17/05/2024 19:03

Anyone who took money off you to fix that would be a charlatan.

Choux · 17/05/2024 19:07

I don't see anything lop sided about your smile. Are you talking teeth or lips? I don't see it at all. You look great.

Absolutely this. I think many celebrities are all starting to look like each other too. The OP has a lovely smile!

Love this

Disturbia81 · 17/05/2024 20:19

@LondonLass61 Exactly! I see so many in the city centre, all the same hair too, they all look identical. Same lips, same stretched eye look etc

ScillyNotSicily · 17/05/2024 20:22

It’s there but it’s slight. Start with your dentist if it’s bothering you. You’d be better to just accept your imperfections and get in with life though imo.

Hollysberries · 17/05/2024 20:35

I'd kill for a set like yours.

Honestly, they are fine.
