Floaty tops, shirts to wear with cropped jeans?

What do people wear with cropped jeans? I usually wear shorts during the summer but my legs are a bit ugly this year and with the wet weather we seem to get now I thought cropped jeans would be better. I am recovering fro hysterectomy and still have some swelling around my tummy so would like something that hides that a little, something a bit floaty or a shirt/blouse that I can tuck into my jeans or wear pulled out to hide my tummy when needed. Any suggestions? I am a young 42, a size 12 and 5”2, nothing too floral.

I like pop over shirts, longer length loose vests and looser v neck t shirts, usually in white as it always looks good with denim.
