Romper suit style swimming costume for menopausal body

Owner of very depressing menopause tyres above and below belly button, ridiculously big boobs and all the other standard weight gain areas for a woman 'of a certain age'.

I have a summer holiday booked - first for years. My bikini days are gone, and the tank top style does me no favours. I'm thinking of a possible romper suit style suit or anything that will help me to feel vaguely attractive on the beach.

Losing sleep over my negative body image. Size 16/18 up top and probably 14/16 below. I used to be a 10/12 all over 😢.

Thank you!

Honestly a bikini will be far more flattering than one of them big frumpy costumes. Go for it !

I would just go for a one piece swimsuit, choose one with a tummy control panel. I've lost weight now, but when I was heavier (size 18), I had a one piece swimsuit for holiday and it seemed the most appropriate thing.

Rompers always look a bit weird. Plus lots of wet material is uncomfy. Wear a normal swimsuit or a bikini. No one gives a toss about your body except you and that's the truth I have to remind myself of! I tried on a high waisted bikini the other day and it really just accentuates the tummy rather than flatters. The bigger the pants are the bigger you bum and tum look I think so just get something well fitting, robust material and have a cocktail by the pool 🍹
