Wedding dress alterations & pregnancy

Is anyone able to help with this? What are my chances of being able to have this dress altered - it's Ariya from Wed2B? I bought this dress a couple of months ago. I'm getting married in October and just found out I'm pregnant with our first so no idea how my body will change. I'll be 28 weeks on our wedding day. I really don't want to have to buy a new dress and I know I should speak to my seamstress but I'm worried she'll say no it's not possible. Anyone know if I'll be able to get this adjusted? It was a little big on me when I bought it so I was originally going to be needing it taken it so have a bit of room but likely not enough for 28 weeks pregnant!

Ariya

Channel your inner goddess in boho beauty Ariya. Delicate vine-like lace cascades throughout a whimsical tulle skirt. A dainty spaghetti strap bodice shows a little skin with a sexy illusion back, all finished with delicate buttons.

I think given the style you should be fine. The a line will skim over your bump. A mermaid style would be more of an issue.

Beautiful dress -but sorry to disagree with the previous poster but that bodice looks like it is boned and so 1. will not be able to be altered and 2. would be darned painful with a 6 month bump.
Not meaning to be negative but do not think you should be stressing about getting in a dress at 6months pregnant just be healthy and do a photo shoot later.
Would they change it if you explained?

Sorry OP but unless you carry very small or very low it will be difficult, potentially impossible. If the bodice is boned there will be very little fabric to let out, and both the lace appliqué at the front and the sheer back of the bodice will mean any adjustments are very visible. You also won't be able to wear a bra.

I would look seriously into a new dress. Sorry.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, appreciate it. Now have the fun of wondering if we can move the wedding sooner or whether to just suck it up and buy a new dress 🤔That may be too stressful though given I've no idea when a bump would be visible so may not help moving the wedding anyway (at least in terms of the dress).

I'm not sure @Breadcat24 but I doubt Wed2B would let me switch the dress.

I would ask them anyway. The worst they can say is no. They're not losing any money and it's still a dress they stock so I don't see the problem of doing a swap so long as the tags are still on it and it's in resellable condition.

Yes good point @Illpickthatup

What do you think is the furthest along I could get away with in this dress? Wondering if we could get away with moving the registry office ceremony sooner but obviously depends on availability.

It's hard to say, especially with it being your first. My friends sister is 22 weeks pregnant with her second and you'd never know. She was wearing high waisted jeans at the weekend and only had a tiny bump which I only noticed because I know she's pregnant. You wouldn't look at her and think she was if you didn't know. But of course everyone is different.
