Best hair removal for furry face

With HRT I've noticed I've been getting a furry face, very blonde fine fur. What is the best way of dealing with it? I have been using a dermal blade but it's tricky around the chin.

I whizz over it with an epilator. Not a specifically facial one, they tend to be very small. Just the same one I use for my legs.

GiveYourHeadAWobble · 12/05/2024 15:15

I just use a normal razor for mine.

jeaux90 · 12/05/2024 15:15

Which brand did you buy? Is it painful?

@GiveYourHeadAWobble yes I was but it's really tricky round the chin etc and I want to stop it growing back so quick really

This one. I prefer a corded version so that I don't want to use it and discover that the batteries have run out, but there are plenty of similar cordless ones if you prefer that.

PS It stings slightly when you first run it over but nothing unbearable. And because it's an epilator the hair takes longer to grow back.

Just stretch the skin taut when you get to the chin area? I don't have a problem dermaplaning it.

Edited

Does it cause bumps or anything on your face? I use one on my legs and have thought about using it on my face but I get red dots on my legs so I’d be worried I’d end up with them on my face

That's why I rarely use it on my legs these days. But on my face it's never been a problem. Possibly because the hair is much finer and not as deeply rooted but I can honestly say that I've never had an issue with it and I usually do it every three weeks.

Threading.

Round your nose and lip it stings like hell but you get the best finish.

Waxing doesn't get it all, home epilating/threading tool I back off when it hurts so bits get missed.

DeadbeatYoda · 12/05/2024 19:41

I use Jolen facial hair removal cream. My skin is a little sensitive so it's a bit aggravated for the first day but great after that.

WeAreAllMadeOfStarz · 12/05/2024 19:49

I just shave it, it's fine.

Lord no I can't do threading, I do have my eyebrows waxed but it's just too much pain on the upper lip and threading is just a big nope. 🤣

@WeRateSquirrels @Coconutter24 thank you! I'll have a look at those recommendations

Electric razor

KathrynWheel · 16/05/2024 07:39

Immac

jeaux90 · 18/05/2024 13:19

@WeRateSquirrels I ordered that and used it. It's amazing thank you, it's smaller than it looks on the photo so perfect for travelling too. Got to all the places I found hard around the chin.

I tried wax strips but it is difficult to get all the hair off on chin

I sometimes use a springy stick thing that works like threading but it's a real nuisance and chin hair seems more bristley than it used to.

Plucking is tempting or I'm thinking it electrolysis,

Although they are impossible to buy from online as it is an 'age restricted product' and for some reason my details don't match what Experian have so I can buy it 🙄
