Help! Wedding guest shoes to dance in

I'm wearing a midi sage fit and flare dress to a wedding in 2 weeks and am really struggling with shoes.

I am clueless when it comes to fashion

I can't walk in heels as they really hurt my feet.

I am 5ft 3 and a size 6 on top (flat chested) and size 8 on bottom.

I have tried pumps but they either rub or don't stay on.

I cant think of other shoes that look good and can dance in- help!

Or change into plain white trainers?

showmethegin · 07/05/2024 08:36

ESSKA! Bit more expensive but they don't even feel like you're wearing heels!

What size do you need? Have a look on Vinted or eBay for gold sandals or silver sandals (or Mary Jane’s etc) and then add in a brand known for comfortable shoes. So for example, I have had really comfortable shoes and sandals from Hotter, Ecco, Gabor and Teva amongst others.
A search on gold Hotter sandals came back with some quite simple but comfy looking ones that were adjustable - not the most dainty footwear but at £4 might be worth a shot if they were the right size.
here’s the example:
Hotter gold sandals on vinted

lots of things in gold/silver/metallics might have been bought for wedding outdoors outfits so not heavily worn but enough to have started them being worn in do not quite as uncomfortable as they could be!
And of you don’t like them, you can put them back to sell!

Thank you everyone I will have a look at all of these. I'm an awkward size 3.5!

What shoes do you already have that are comfortable? What sort of thing do you normally wear? Is there anything you already own that would be suitable either for the whole day or just for the dancing bit?

I really wear trainers all the time and sometimes boots!

@gdags have a look on the monsoon website for the older girls shoes, you'll find something there with your dainty feet! The shoes are gorgeous and don't look childish. Good luck!

I would go for wedges or block heels. I can’t wear stiletto/kitten heels with pointy heels but block or wedge are comfy and walkable in.

I have been to a few weddings over about 2 years . I personally think that bare feet when dancing is absolutely fine!! Just remember where your shoes are 😊

I changed in to something similar to this (as soon as I got to the reception) I had wedges on before
