Cotton knickers no VPL/bum spots!

I have a slightly embarrassing problem.... I need knickers which I can wear with jeans (straight leg but fitted around the bum area) which won't cause a VPL. I have been wearing the sloggi no VPL knickers which are v comfortable and look good but.....they are polyester and giving me a terrible spotty bum! I think they are pretty sweaty and I spend a lot of the day sitting at a desk.

So I need cotton knickers recommendations with no VPL (would a boy short style work..?). Slightly loathe to go for a thong. And also recommendations to clear up the spotty bum! (I shower at least once per day and wash my clothes regularly).

Is there such a thing as no VPL knickers that don’t disappear into your arse? I’ve tried a few of the laser cut microfibre variety and without fail they disappear and are extremely uncomfortable.

@Ilovemyshed those Tu ones look like they have a seam. Does it not show up?

The alternative is going commando, but in lightweight summer trousers I’d be concerned about rips.

Innersy from Amazon! They were recommended on here and while I wouldn’t normally buy clothes from Amazon, they really are excellent quality. Cotton with a tiny bit of elastane, nice wide waistband, decent width crotch bit (I didn’t realise this was a thing until I tried them and realised how comfy it is!). I’ve broken up with all my other pants

DS had a spotty bum and the GP prescribed him a wash which cleared it up within days .. I'm sure it was hibiscrub

I thought they were atrocious. Ugly looking cheap knickers.

@AHFaemale that’s interesting! The pack I had are a much better quality finish than the M&S ones I’d been buying. They look as good as new after months of wear. I wouldn’t say they’d win any awards for beauty but I’m not someone who wears ‘pretty’ knickers - but I do care about things like scratchy lace, annoying labels, and poor quality stitching that falls apart!

No

I find sizing up helps with VPL. Took me years to realise. I also find that nylon ones with a cotton gusset are fine. M&S Wild Bloom, full briefs. Not romantic but pretty enough. They don't cause any skin problems.

Persil non bio, no fabric conditioner. Pears soap.

Which Innersy ones? I bought some modal innersy knickers a year or so ago and liked them so much I bought three more packs, and they’re still great. These have a VPL though unfortunately.

Can't help on the pants issue but re the spotty bum:
Wash with bar soap and apply sudocreme daily.

WhereAreWeNow · 06/05/2024 17:16

Get cotton pants a size up. Shorts style or midi.
I like the Uniqlo cotton midis and Sloggi high cut cotton knickers. M&S has some good cotton shorts too.
Don't go for thong unless you want thrush as well as bum spots!

I often go commando with summer dresses in the warm weather.🤫 I don’t do short though. I wouldn’t consider it with trousers either.

@TwelveAngryWhiskers I have the cotton bikini style with a wide sports waistband.
