Primer to hide pores and texture under elf halo glow

Hi, I don't usually wear make up but trying to make more of an effort. I was gifted elf halo glow, which I love, but have discovered that now older my pores look far worse with make up. Didn't need to worry about this when I used to wear make up years ago so now a bit lost with how to sort it. Will a primer help and if so, which one please?
It's mainly the inner corners of my cheeks from.under my eyes. Thank you

I use either Benefit Porefessional or This Works In Transit primer.

I think Benefit is the better product but it’s quite spendy.

Thank you, I will try it

Just stop using the elf halo glow

It's probably why you were gifted it because anything with glow will accentuate every pore making it look 100 times worse than it really is

Since Ive returned to make up as an older woman, Ive realised I need to get my canvas in better shape rather then slapping on the layers

Cheeks are now a lot better, smoother, less textured, pores minimal, having been using a cleanser and moisturising twice a day and using a few serums - I have a couple I chop and change, and now its just my nose and and across the eyebrows that still have large pores - very oily as well. So now Im using a niacinamide serum in that area along with an salicylic acid (BHA) exfoliator and they are already looking smaller after just a week

Foundation looks a lot smoother and gives a more polished finish now

I have quite bad pores, I find that givenchy prism libre powder is pretty good at toning them down (much better than hourglass and you can buy minis now) and rare beauty pore primer. Also switched to dior face and body backstage foundation, you only need a few drops so I don’t have a mask of death thing going on any more).

Also glycolic acid at night under moisturiser just smoothes thing out a bit. I quite like the kiehls 10% one a few times a week.

Repeat after me, skin is supposed to have pores and texture.

The beauty industry only makes us feel bad about things that are totally normal so they can sell you more products.

Have you tried ELF's.own Pore Putty Promer? That's what I wear under Halo Glow.
