My skin has always been red but is so much worse recently. Is it rosacea or something else? What can I do to treat it? Hide it? Help me

It's hard to say without seeing both cheeks. Are you well? It could be the butterfly rash from Lupus if you're not.

Could well be. I have a red area on one side of my face. I thought for a bit that it sun damage from driving a lot as it is the window side but a lass on the counter at an expensive skincare concession thought it was rosacea.
Whatever, I have found Laura geller baked cream foundation is excellent for covering it up. I haven't had a lot of success with green base / primer. Rosalique is very good but a bit yellow for my pinkish complexion.

How long has it been like that? Do certain things make it worse - heat, cold, spicy foods, alcohol?

I've had Rosacea for 35 years and it used to look like that. (Now, it's just red)

I'd say I've had it for about 15 years but it seems to be worse at the moment. I'm quite careful in the sun. Drink caffeine daily, alcohol maybe a glass or two fortnightly. Not noticed any triggers.

Is this a better photo?

That does look like rosacea, dry red patches that are always there, sometimes flare up.

I use Soolantra morning and evening. Great stuff.

Asking for myself..does soolantra work for redness?, or just the pimples and bumpiness? I have the flushing but without the bumps. Mirvaso was suggested to me.

Livedandlearned · 07/10/2024 18:23

It worked for all of it for me. Love the stuff.

TeamPolin · 07/10/2024 18:34

Azaelic Acid worked a treat for my rosacea!

GettingStuffed · 07/10/2024 20:52

I'd get tested for lupus , especially if you have other symptoms like thinning hair.

What skincare are you using, looks like it's irritating your skin.
