Boring, sorry, but - socks that don’t shrink?

I bought a multi-pack of black socks (school socks actually!) from M&S, they are supposed to be size 4-7 but have shrunk so badly that they feel like they’re cutting the circulation off at my ankles when I put them on. My feet are about size 5.5.
I want to go out and buy some nice comfy socks but don’t want the same thing to happen again when I wash them. Any recommendations?

Primark socks are great. We buy the sports ones with the ribbing. So comfortable.

I always buy a size up, so instead of 4-7, the 7 to 9.5 in the mens section, then after washing and drying theyre usually the same sort of size as the 4-7s before washing.

Have they shrunk? I've never experienced that with socks, but I did think I was very clever buying boys socks to save money and they were very tight around the ankles.

Next men's socks. Last for years and are so much better than the women's.
Who decided women should have thinner shorter socks? And while I'm at it, compare the quality of men's pj's, jumpers, and t shirts. All better than the women's. These are just basic everyday items. I don't buy women's nighties or pj's anymore. I sleep in large cotton men's t shirts. Rant over. Ffs.

Nope, wash everything at 30. DS has exactly the same socks in grey and they fit his smaller size 4 feet. Bought a brand new pack for him and the new ones were so nice when I nicked a pair. Until they shrink too.

I wear Primark socks and they definitely don't shrink and last for ages

Bought some for myself from Very recently. They have been washing well, quite sturdy, not shrinkage.
