So I think it is the elf one the halo glow or is it liquid filter that is supposed to be the dupe for the flawless filter. Which one do you recommend.

Please only answer if you’ve had the Charlotte Tilbury everyone.

I prefer the elf dupe to the CT

I read one review and it said it doesn’t give coverage, which elf one are you talking about?

neither are meant to give coverage, are they? they're meant to give glow.

I prefer to elf halo glow to the Charlotte tilbury. Only bought a small Charlotte tilbury one and was glad I hadn’t wasted more money.

I have both. My thoughts:

  • neither give that much coverage. They give glow and even out skin tone. The elf one (halo glow), gives slightly more coverage than CT in my opinion. If you want actual coverage then these aren't what you're looking for.
  • I have both in the lightest shades. The elf one comes off as more orange. The CT gives a lovely pearlescent glow and does not oxidise. For this reason, I much prefer CT although elf is good in summer/on holiday.
  • the elf one is a slightly heavier formula. Use sparingly or it comes off greasy. On me anyway. The CT is a much more natural glow.
  • the elf one isn't bad and if you're not sure if this type of glowy filter product is for you, it's much more reasonably priced to try out.
  • a better dupe for CT is the collection glow filter. That looks almost identical to CT on me and it's also cheaper than even elf!

I’ve had both and I prefer the elf dupe. Bit more glowy!

I wear it with foundation so can’t really comment on coverage but I would recommend it.

Investinmyself · 01/05/2024 18:59

I wear just as is at 50 but have decent skin and don’t like foundation. It evens skin out and gives a nice glow. I get compliments on my skin wearing it.

When I say coverage, at weekends, for example if I’m not going anywhere, I will just shove this on if I’m sashaying down to be glamorous in Aldi.

Otherwise I wear Armani underneath and then this is a kind of highlighter.
