3/4 non-sports leggings that aren't mass produced crap

This is a boring one, but, given what British 'summers' are like I find 3/4 leggings useful to wear under dresses when it's not quite warm enough for bare legs. But having suprising difficulty finding just casual ones online, most seem to be sportswear styles.

I'd also like to have them in colours other than black/white/navy/grey - I know you can get every colour under the sun on amazon or ebay but I'd rather get good quality, ideally ethically sourced ones, rather than buying cheapo rubbish, looking to pay up to £30 or so.

I looked at Snag but they only have full length ones, M&S only seems to have plain colours or sports styles - any suggestions where I can find a good selection of what I'm after.

Snag do 3/4 length capri tights in a variety of colours, I've got them in pink turquoise and yellow. I don't like Snag's current advertising campaign for all sorts of reasons but I do like their capri tights, they are lovely and cool.

I have some from H&M but only black and white. I know Asda used to do them too but again just neutral colours like navy, black and white. So not sure on colourful ones I'm afraid.

I too miss these and used have several pairs when tunic dresses with ballet flats were last in.

most recently got food quality ones from sea salt not this year though

I found these , but not sure how they fit your mass produced crap criteria . They're in loads of colours

Those wanting colours, if they are cotton you can dye them in the machine with Dylon, I’ve used it a lot.

If you like print/pattern, rainbows and sprinkles have lots of fun ones.

Seasalt, Thought, Nomads
Are a few that came up when I Googled "Organic cotton cropped leggings"

Frugi?

Snag "short" leggings are 3/4 length on me (32" inside leg). They have them in stock in 4 colours.

LutonBeds · 02/05/2024 20:30

Snag do 7/8 ones which are full length on me.

Beware the Lovall ones, I bought two pairs of normal leggings and both went in the bin within a month. Seriously terrible - went all bobbly around the seams and they weren't remotely tight on me! I bought them after a rave thread on here and was very very disappointed.

PrincessofWells · 02/05/2024 20:38

I wear riding tights. Have a google, they are generally good quality.

Not quite leggings but similar - cropped stretch trousers from Roman come in 31 different colours 🙂 www.roman.co.uk/cropped-stretch-trouser-18004294

Thought clothing sell ethically sourced materials for leggings ..bamboo & organic cotton , I think John Lewis have them. Not sure about the price though .

Popsy have them in quite a range of colours.
