do people really wear them as long as in the styled model shoots?! Puddled/dragging on the floor?! How does this actually work?! Surely they get destroyed immediately

I’ve thought that recently. Every pair I’ve looked at online look far too long.
With all the wet weather we have been having can you imagine the state of them if you went outdoors😀

Most models are much taller than me, but I've always thought I was slightly above average in height. I'm 168cm (5''6') and recently bought a pair of loose, linen trousers. I think they were George, but they are incredibly long and frankly dangerous, as easy to trip up stairs in them. If I wear the waist band under my boobs- they are just right! I rarely wear heels, so unless they were 8 inch platforms- not an option either.
Wish I had the receipt to return them because I can't be arsed to pay to take them up.

I bring them to the tailors for hemming, while wearing the shoes I will most likely wear with. I hardly wear heels, so basically the hem hits the bottom of my heel, allowing 1/2 to 1" for trainers, sandals, etc.

I buy regular (I'm 5ft4, 31 inch leg) and then wear platform Converse with them. They do brush the floor but I wear them to work and commute by car so no wet hems!

If everyone is buying them and turning them up or wearing shoes with heels why then do models always show long trailing trousers It doesn’t make any sense to me

Last week, one of my friends caught the tip of her shoe in the hem of wide, baggy trousers. She fell forwards and bruised her shoulder badly. They can be dangerous. I will avoid them or turn the hems up.

I wear them long with boots with a heel - they are extraordinary! My legs have never looked so long... some sort of optical illusion, which I love

Im going to buy a second pair

Yup, I can't wear in the mud or without heels, but they are spectacular and make me feel so good

There's a lot of young women round my way wearing too long, loose jeans and somehow the extra fabric just collects/piles up on their shoes, normally biggish trainers so the material doesn't hit the floor. I don't like the look - not practical either - and just have to accept I'll have to tailor, or buy cropped versions which are then usually the right length. I don't really like platform trainers which is the other way round, they are having a real moment.

I bought a pair of wide leg jeans from Tesco recently. I love Tesco jeans and they are a great fit but at 5' 6" they are tripping me up. They're wearable with my chunky Grensons but still hitting the floor at the back, they would be much better if they were an inch shorter. I'm never a fan of turning up jeans though, they never look as good.

I've got a 33' inside leg and they've usually OK for me butbI do have a pair of halara which I need to wear with my high wedges
