A dress for a Catholic christening

I'm size 14/16 but with large chest (most shirts /things with buttons are a no)

I need a not floaty but not tight dress for a Catholic christening in a couple of weeks. So modest enough (shoulders covered, at least to knees) maybe midi or maxi? But something I can wear again so not too formal.

I'm 45, bit of a tummy to cover. Nothing pastel as I'm pretty olive. And not black as it seems to be all I have in my wardrobe right now.
I rarely wear dresses nowadays so find this impossible. I like shirt dresses but they don't like me

Thanks!!

Budget?
Any particular preferences?
Brands you like?
Brands you wouldn't be seen dead in?

Basically it's a day dress you're looking for but there's gazillions of them.

If it were me, I wouldn't be buying anything new for this. There's plenty of things in my wardrobe which would do.

Finery is as a good a place as any to start looking.

I wore a black jumpsuit to my DS' baptism. It didn't really occur to me that there were any rules! My SIL wore jeans.

What about nobody’s child. Their midnight midaxi dresses are very flattering
