Postnatal trouser issues

Had a babe 4 weeks ago and the only garments that fit me are tracksuit bottoms, pyjamas and maternity jeans (and even these irritate c-section scar). I hope I'll lose weight so don't want to spend loads, and I'm such a jeans person, but they're just not soft enough right now - any ideas?

it won't last forever
stick with it
maybe buy one nice pair of trousers in a drapy material for when you feel like you don't want to slob around?

ps marvellous thread title

How about some wide legged yoga style trousers, like they do in Sweaty Betty? Have a look at their website. if you got some in black, they could pass as 'smart casual' trousers.

Yes - black stretchy might be good

Some of them have a nice soft wide waistband that you can roll up or roll down depending on how you feel. They would be very comfyhere

Yes! Nice and flary - would do with flat pumps and wraparound cardy for (fat) ballet dancer off-duty look. And thanks for words of encouragement franny
