need to get a new pair of sunnies now the sun is showing its face, what look should i be going for oh style gurus?
I am an SAHM with not much cash so will be going for a copy cat look from somewhere like NEXT rather than genuine ray-bans! TIA

bumping too.

I hate that annual attempt to buy a decent pair of sunglasses.

fairylights · 02/04/2008 19:52

well peaches i took my life in my own hands and bought a pair for £5.99 from H&M today - last of the big spenders, me They are BIG and have squarish bottoms, no idea if thats fashionable but i like them and my ds was squealing..hope you find a pair you like too!

good question

mamiguay · 02/04/2008 20:12

I think quite 80s plasticky squarish big frames. Going to take a while to grow on me..

see asos sunglasses new trends

PeggySioux · 02/04/2008 20:16

This season I shall be mostly wearing a pair of brown plastic 'tortoise shell' sunnies that came free on the front of a magazine about 2 years ago, and that have recently had one arm snapped off by my daughter so they sit a bit squonky.

ratbunny · 02/04/2008 20:19

mamiquay - some of those glasses look like timmy mallet would wear them. particularly bottom right.

stuffitllama · 02/04/2008 20:21

i think oval shaped and heart shaped
and brightly coloured raybans

always go for black! as cannot afford multiple pairs..

I know, hideous. But I think that about all new trends* and then seem to finally limp into line about 2 years later just in time to see it going back out of fashion Maybe this year I'll get the jump on it and just go for the most hideous, I think we can assume it will also be the trendiest.

*see also skinny jeans, high waisted anything etc.

PeachesMcLean · 02/04/2008 21:34

Ratbunny, I've just looked at the link and yes, I thought timmy mallett as well. I guess I'm old...

southeastastra · 02/04/2008 21:35

white rimmed ray bans argh for the hyper trendy

fairylights · 03/04/2008 12:49

well having looked at that link (thanks mamaguay) i am definitely not going to be the height of fashion in the glasses i have chosen but at least i won't feel like a timmy mallett look-alike.. and the ones i chose are at least big frames... but look MUCH nicer IMHO
