Under eye aesthetic treatment that worked

Hi,

due to dark circles and puffy under eyes (not to mention the lines) that I feel are all I see when I look in the mirror, I’ve decided to look into getting something done about it (already drink lots of water/tried various creams and try to get good sleep).

so confused by all the options, has anyone had and can comment on the effectiveness of;

Tear Trough Filler
Sunekos
Jalupro eyes
Ami eyes
Lumi eyes
Under eye PRP treatment

or something else?

It’s expensive so keen to make the right choice. Tear Trough seems more expensive and makes me a bit nervous.

thanks

I have had tear trough filler 2 weeks ago and it has filled out my under eye area nicely. It is still improving by the day and I have a check up next week.
I had 1ml of Volbella XC with a doctor for £360. It advertised as lasting a year.

AllBlackEverything · 23/04/2024 18:14

Tear trough filler improves the appearance of sunken under eyes, it won't help in your case if you have puffy bags.

I've had Lumi eyes and it looks incredible right after it's done! Then wears off straight away (for me anyway).

Have you considered blepharoplasty?

CaptainCabinets · 23/04/2024 18:18

Tear trough filler 10000%. Loved mine! I was booked in for a top up next month but I have a surprise baby to grow first 😂

zigzagzigzagz · 23/04/2024 18:22

I’m in a Facebook group for eye surgery and lots of people post their blepharoplasty pictures and usually look like they get good results. I appreciate you may not want surgery though.

avencar · 23/04/2024 18:32

You don't want tear trough for puffy eyes. It created puffiness and under eye pouches (malar bags?) in a friend of mine. Dissolver made it worse and they had to refill, with the same problems appearing.

It's also of the worst fillers for migration, risk, or blocking drainage, even it starts off looking good. Hence a lot of, even decent, places don't offer it.

I've tried lumi eyes but it also wore off immediately @AllBlackEverything

avencar · 23/04/2024 18:33

I think there's a new under eye treatment available, but I don't recall the name of it. Hoping someone might know.

Rosienose · 23/04/2024 20:22

Juvelook?

thanks all, I don’t think I could afford or justify surgery at the moment.

Did you get it at a doctors or non doctor clinic?

Polynucleotides I think. There’s a recent S&B thread on it if you search OP

I was recommended this by my dermatologist the other day, but it looks very expensive for what might not be that great a benefit

Rosienose · 23/04/2024 22:00

Ah yes that’s the salmon sperm ones isn’t it? I will investigate thanks. Too much on offer and not all sounding worth the £

If you have tear-trough fillers don’t let anyone other than a proper plastic surgeon do it. One that’s registered with BAAPS and has lots of experience.

WinterMorn · 23/04/2024 22:11

Following 🙂

Rosienose · 23/04/2024 22:26

Thank you. It’s one of the reasons I probably wouldn’t get them too worried about it going wrong. I have hollowed dark circle eyes but also they do puff up at the outer edge too so am sure it’s not the right treatment for my problems anyway.

Has anyone used an LED mask for eyes that has had good results? Thanks

OP posts:
Isabelle70 · 23/04/2024 22:43

I have the CurrentBody LED mask and it has made a slight softening of the lines around my eyes.
I got mine from QVC so I can return if I don't like it.

Merrilydancing · 23/04/2024 22:46

I had Sunekos and it really made a difference to my dark circles, sunken eyes, jowls and the fine lines above my lips. Plus my skin looks amazing. Highly recommend it but make sure it is done by a dr.

buttonchocolate · 23/04/2024 23:09

Fine lines - get retinol, I use Zo but be prepared for a purge and wear sunscreen

Tightening, fine lines - Fontona

Darkness, you need to identify the cause. If it’s hollowing then tear trough. Pigmentation, then polynucleotides and exosomes.

Rosienose · 27/04/2024 23:05

Anyone who has had Lumi or Ami eyes did you have much bruising and swelling and if so for how many days after? Thank you

About how much does it cost please?

Merrilydancing · 28/04/2024 20:08

@Gwenhwyfar around £700 but well worth it!

I have dark circles and tear trough doesn't help that much because it's pigmentation so I will look into it. How long does it last?

Cloud9Cosmetics · 17/05/2024 10:06

Hey, i just came across your post and you may have gone somewhere already but i do these treatments so just wanted to share that Vitaran under eye is a fantastic option but you do need to factor in 2 - 3 sessions for optiumum results 4 weeks apart from eachother. Another really good brand is Plinest but i wouldnt bother with lumi eye personally as its a low concentraction of Polynucleotide so you wont get long lasting results.. its more of a quick fix. You want a brand that has a high concentration of PN. Happy to answer any questions you may have xx

CollagenQueen · 17/05/2024 13:30

Yes surgery is more expensive, but it lasts for at least 10 years. I had mine done last year. Here are the results.

That surgery is for sagging though isn't it and not for dark circles.
