Can anyone suggest where I can find my daughter a suit to wear to sixth form.
She is seeking something with a short skirt and a matching jacket.

Fairly standard but I can't seem to find anything.....

You can't find anything because in the main people don't wear suits and short skirt sets to work currently.

Most of the young cool hip people in office wear I see are wearing tapered trousers, oversized jackets, brogues or clompy boots and a non fitted blouse or tshirt type things.

Matching suit sets are brown or green and oversized, and always trousers or long skirts.

I know this doesn’t answer your question but does she really need a suit for sixth form? I know some ask for office attire, but suits are actually quite rare in offices now. Since Covid most workplaces are more relaxed. She might be better with a selection of skirts and blouses with her normal jacket. Also most suits are dry clean only so not the really practical for the school environment.

I find Next or H&M are suitable. Often the separates are not listed as suits bir do match.

Tu and Next for reasonably priced office wear. However, separates would probably be better and give her variety. Skirts, blouses, neat knitted tops, structured cardigans, couple of relaxed fit jackets?

Next was the only high st store that had any fairly traditional style female suits, even then they were a bit to fashion (needed for the military who required them to have a suit)

Jackets from H&M. Skirts from new look school skirts and M&S do a stretchy short black skirt which works with a bock blazer. Annoying that schools still insist on this but this is what DD and all her friends did

Thanks some helpful ideas here. She does have to wear a suit for sixth form as it is quite formal. I think what @Chattywatty has suggested seems to be what a lot of the girls are going for.

When my d was a sixth former I bought Next seperates on eBay - a couple of jackets and some trousers and skirts, they were perfectly fine

Hello - if you are still looking for a suitable suit I've just ordered my DD sixth form uniform on George at Asda. There are black or navy jackets, matching skirts and trousers of different style. You can get women sizes 6, 8, 10 or 12 or 14. Also suitable school blouses. I've have uniform from Asda before which was great. Fingers crossed fits my DD OK.

I was supprised how difficult it was to find.
