Gym leggings that stay up?

Gabiabbi · 21/04/2024 12:11

I run, do weights in the gym and yoga. I've used fabletics in the past which have been great at staying up, but I gave up the monthly fee a while ago and these are starting to look worse for wear.

Can anyone recommend some leggings that will stay up, are comfortable and don't cost the earth please? Oh and ones that preferably don't go right up the crack of my arse preferably... at nearly 40 that isn't really my style 🙈😂

Thanks in advance ☺️

Fabletics high waisted

Stripeswithsnoopy · 21/04/2024 12:12

Whoops just read full post - very tired - sorry!!!

JollyHostess101 · 21/04/2024 12:13

Lucy Locket Loves- absolutely so comfy and with decent pockets!!

Or Flanci again super comfy!!

Stripeswithsnoopy · 21/04/2024 12:13

Having said that…my friend was lured back to Fabletics by a great offer and she got a few pairs of leggings for a good price! I realise it’s a pain to have to remember to “skip” each month though.

These are good, I got them after seeing them recommended on Mumsnet:

Lululemon wunder train.

People will shortly come along and screech ‘how much???!! I only pay 99p for mine from the market and they’re fine’ but speaking as someone else who has tried multiple brands only to have them constantly roll down, Lululemon were the only ones I found which didn’t.

My favourite leggings are Skechers ones. I got mine from Costco. They hold everything in and have pockets. Have never had an issue with them falling down.

Aworldofmyown · 21/04/2024 12:17

I've found sweaty betty to be the best - not cheap though.

TheChosenTwo · 21/04/2024 12:20

I bite the bullet and get the power ones from sweaty Betty, the only ones that truly don’t budge for me. I’m generous of hip, these are amazing.
Expensive for leggings most definitely but I’d spent hundreds over the years on cheaper pairs only to discard them and try something else when they didn’t quite do the job.
Good discounts throughout the year but usually the majority of the cheaper ones are way too snazzy for me, I stick with plain black!!

NotbloodyGivingupYet · 21/04/2024 12:20

Sweaty Betty but wait for a sale they come along regularly. But you have to take whatever colours and patterns are in the sale. Or running leggings from Ron Hill are brilliant. I've also had decent ones from decathlon but that's a bit more hit and miss

UnpickThePockets · 21/04/2024 12:23

Born Nouli - I love them.

Seeaty Betty fall down on me.

Gabiabbi · 21/04/2024 12:23

Thanks all, going to make a list from here and have a good shop later 😁

Wrt fabletics, loved them, great leggings. I was just too bad at skipping the months and didn't want to keep paying out. But some of the best workout clothes I've had

Love my peloton leggings. Usually a sale on too

pinkdays · 21/04/2024 12:28

After going cheap I went to Sweaty Betty and the quality is so much better

OMGitsnotgood · 21/04/2024 12:29

I like M&S, good quality and have a drawstring which can be tightened

CaraMiaMonCher · 21/04/2024 12:29

I love TLC Sport high waisted high compression ones. They have a packet on the thigh for phone too.

thepurplepenguin · 21/04/2024 12:30

I always recommend Pursue Fitness on these threads. I like the Adapt seamless leggings (NOT the scrunch bum ones 🤣). High waisted and do not shift at all. They're good value and discount codes come up regularly.

Gottleogear · 21/04/2024 12:38

Another vote for Goodmove from M & S. I have several pairs and do a lot of exercise, they are fabulous and reasonably priced too

ChrissyHynde · 21/04/2024 12:41

Good move from M&S

Roserunner · 21/04/2024 12:47

I've had a few different brands over the years including sweaty Betty. My favourites are tikiboo. They're online only, often have sales, next one will prob be may bank holiday weekend. DD and I have a pair of their black diamond range to wear as normal leggings as they are so comfortable, flattering and wash/ last well. If you get the right size they stay up perfectly and you can choose with or without a thigh pocket.
