this time it's

this top (the 'loose fitting' description appeals to my postnatal [darn it i can't use him as an excuse any longer can I?] tummy)

and this looks as though it would be useful [old]

and \link{http://www.boden.co.uk/col.asp?segname=Women&styid=WA191&segid=6&gpname=Shirts+%26+Woven+Tops& desname=Fun+Button+Kaftan&gpid=28&gen=1#imgthis surely would be a good poolside item?}

you see, i am just so not a boden person, but they make me think i am, damn them

"anything called 'fun' requires a wide berth"

Such as this latest "fun" offering:
ha ha ha ha
Well it brightened up an otherwise dull afternoon for me anyway.

ImflightbutIcantlogintoday · 01/04/2008 15:04

I did two orders last week, about £200 worth of sale stuff. Sent back about £150

But the other stuff is lovely

Seasider · 01/04/2008 16:51

Am trying again after having sent back nearly all the stuff I ordered for me! is doing a three for four thing so am trying the "new" everyday summer dress in cobalt blue and red and a couple of the kaftans, despite the twee "fun" label. We'll see!

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 01/04/2008 21:15

Boden fabric quality always terrible. And Johnnie is afraid of breasts.

Sossy · 02/04/2008 01:14

Those annoying stupid 'descriptions' in the book always put me off the clothes. I prefer great plains.

BBBee · 02/04/2008 01:37

but boden staples that are well cut and good quality are worth every penny.

I have a couple of thier plain dresses for work and often get comments.

Oh and this is divine on.

suzywong · 02/04/2008 01:38

thank you thank you everyone, particularly SVK. Just saved me ordering many dollars worth of stuff. In fact last time I ordered stuff I gave 80 of it away.

He IS afraid of breasts isn't he?

look here Johnny if you are lurking, peep through your fingers and LOOK

BBBee · 02/04/2008 01:39

this too

suzywong · 02/04/2008 13:38

BBBeee I have just put that dress in my shopping bag but in black.

would it suit slim hips and bignorks? Whaddya reckon?

Oliveoil · 02/04/2008 13:46

OMG my eyes my eyes

Suzy please stop with the links

she needs a bigger bikini that girl

Tutter · 02/04/2008 13:48

this thread has helped me to resist the inevitable order-hope-wait-unwrap-sulk

but then again, maybe missblythe's cardigan recommendation might just ...

I ordered a coat last autumn and the buttons fell off within 48 hours...seriously 4 buttons fell off, and it was NOT cheap.

I've stopped looking because the quotes are so annoying.

'Favourite part of spring...freshly mown grass' etc etc

KNOB OFF!!!!

suzywong · 02/04/2008 14:07

right
based on all these comments and my own past experiences I shall not be ordering

take notice Johnny

Oliveoil · 02/04/2008 14:08

I want some little skirts for my girls

but they are called skorts or some shite and it put me right off

skirts with shorts attached = skorts? Not on my planet Johnny boy

PestoMonster · 02/04/2008 14:10

Now my girls would like those, as they tend to spend the summer hanging upside down on their trapezes and don't like their knickers showing!

Oliveoil · 02/04/2008 14:11

yes I agree

I had one from Gap from eons ago and it has lasted both of them 2 summers

I may be forced to order a skort [spits]

Oliveoil · 02/04/2008 14:12

lovely

in fact on my profile I think dd2 has the Gap one on

PestoMonster · 02/04/2008 14:12

LOL

bundle · 02/04/2008 14:12

dd2 has handmedown skorty thing (in jersey though, which somehow works iykwim) that is very practical and comfy, from gap

bundle · 02/04/2008 14:13

oh they're jersey, that's fine

PestoMonster · 02/04/2008 14:13

But at the number of weeks you've got to wait for 'em! Summer will be over by then.

Oliveoil · 02/04/2008 14:14

is that what 11 means?

11 weeks wait???!!!!

I thought it said 3

Notyummy · 02/04/2008 14:19

I had a skort once. (not Boden)

Looked good on the model.

I lo like a scary hockey teacher. Seriously, people backed away from me in the street.

But I'm sure its ok if you are little

Notyummy · 02/04/2008 14:19

I LOOKED like a scary hockey teacher..

suzywong · 02/04/2008 14:28
