Any one had any experience with beauty pie?

I was thinking about becoming a member as I like the description of some of their products but a bit sceptical about if it is actually worth it.
Are you a member? And is it any good? Any products that you really love? What do you least and most like about it?
Thank you in advance!

I found all the moisturisers I tried too greasy for my skin, it leans towards oily and my skin didn't like them.
I liked the face wash and it lasted ages.
Haven't tried the makeup.
I used the free trial and it wasn't worth it for me to continue, but worth a go if you can get a free trial?

chilimartini · 16/04/2024 10:23

Thank you @TheOneWithUnagi
Do they refund if the product is not suitable for your skin?
Yes, I have a free trial email

Ive been using it for years but will probably cancel this year.

For a while I was doing all hair, all skincare, most make up and all perfume from there so it made sense as the yearly payment was covered easily by my savings. I also love their silk scrunchies.

The hair products seem to have 'stopped' working for me and other than their base and blusher I now buy make up elsewhere. Also bored with their perfumes so as just skincare I think I will stop and try something else. I will probably do a bumper order of my faves before stopping though.

Underparmummy · 16/04/2024 10:28

Sorry, probably helpful if I mention actual products!

Dr glycolic facewash
Super healthy skin foaming face wash (for me and teen dads)
Super retinol eye cream
Silk scrunchies
The super healthy skin body cream is really good
BB creams
Cream blusher in pots
The perfumes are really good quality for the price

Underparmummy · 16/04/2024 10:28

Teen DDS

chilimartini · 16/04/2024 10:28

Can you recommend any perfumes? @Underparmummy
I like quite masculine scents not flowery ones

@Underparmummy thank you ! 🙏🏽

I wear vanilla nue at the moment as it is a really nice simple non sickly vanilla scent.

Une balade en foret is more masculine, I finished my bottle of that over the winter but really enjoyed wearing it.

Mandarin leaf, white cedar and freesia has been my favourite for a good 2-3 years now.

Orange Absolue lasted about 4 seconds on my skin and She Brought Peonies was too floral for me.

Superdrops (skincare) are good too.

chilimartini · 16/04/2024 10:33

@Underparmummy wow! Thank you that is super helpful!

Their hair products didn’t suit my hair
Found eyeliner and gel difficult to apply
Cant remember anything about the eyeshadow
lipstick was too cakey for me- was using a cheaper brand with better pigmentation and smoother feel so ended up cancelling beauty pie.
For me I didn’t think it delivered on the luxe quality

AlaskaThunderfuckHiiiiiiiii · 16/04/2024 10:43

I use and love it. I was a member back in 2020 and cancelled my membership to try other skin care but noticed my skin go downhill again once I stopped using it. I’m now back on beauty pie skin care and my skin is much better again, I love the youth bomb serum and moisturiser. The lash fuel is fantastic my eyelashes are thicker and longer, I like the make up and some of the perfumes. Overall it’s worth it for me

WeRateSquirrels · 16/04/2024 10:46

I like the:
Super Healthy Skin moisturiser
Lip oil/glosses
Powder
Body creams/lotions
Candles
Eye shadow
Tinted lip balm crayons
Youth Bomb serum (stupid, stupid name)

The moisturiser is perfection for my sensitive skin, I'd keep my membership just for that (it's out of stock at the moment and it's making me twitchy). Not bothered about perfume so can't comment on that. The teenager and husband like the face wash mentioned earlier but no way am I putting something foaming on my face (ouch).

SnapdragonToadflax · 16/04/2024 11:44

I really like it, more for the skincare than anything else. I keep thinking I should cancel but can't bring myself to.

Favourites are:

Japanfusion cleanser
Youthbomb serum (and actually all the serums I've tried have been good)
Plantastic face oil
Jeju moisturiser
Super retinol moisturiser
Soul Providers body scrub

My skin is oily, tends to dehydration, and quite sensitive. I find all their products really gentle and effective. I dislikes a couple of moisturisers that were too heavy, and I found their eye make up and blush didn't last well enough for me. I really don't like their haircare, found it very drying.

I never tried to get a refund, I would doubt it.
It's also the super healthy skin cleanser I liked, i would recommend getting that it lasted such a long time.

Housewife2010 · 16/04/2024 11:50

I was a member right from the beginning when it was excellent value. The prices have risen drastically in the last few years. Just take all the RRP's with a huge pinch of salt and buy the products because you want them. Don't let them try and brainwash you that you're saving money.

Mangoetonmess · 16/04/2024 11:58

I absolutely love beauty pie.

Favourite products;
SPF 50 daily face
Super healthy skin face moisturiser
Super healthy skin body moisturiser
HA serum
Brazilian lime, fig leaves and tea shower gel (scent is amazing and lasts for ages)
Soul providers body scrub
Luminising wand
Bronzer
Face tanning drops
Lip glosses
Pencil lip sticks
Luminising primer

SparrowFeet · 16/04/2024 12:03

I was a member from the beginning but cancelled last year when they did the TV advertising. The whole idea of it was supposed to be beauty without the markup. This meant no stores, big adverts etc - now they do all of this so clearly I wasn't making any savings on any products.

The skincare is fine, makeup is fine - but the cost is reflective of the value of it. Ie if the serum costs £15 it still feels like a £15 serum not a £50 one.

That's not to say there aren't some great products, but there are also plenty of other mid ranged beauty brands that can offer the same thing without membership.

chilimartini · 16/04/2024 12:32

Thank you so much all for sharing your products! I can't wait to get home and read the thread properly!!
Please keep adding!

I really like it & have just joined after my free 60 day membership.

I only wanted it for skincare and its made a huge difference to my skin.

I use brightening niacinamide drops, triple hyaluronic acid, youth bomb serum, youth bomb eye cream, vitamin c serum & the sleep oil for my face. And the hair oil for my hair.

Throughly recommend. Try it with free membership and see what you think.

The fig one is quite masculine.

I use their retinols, the eye roll on, the black bottle serum and the bit c serum, and the Uber Youth serum.

The moisturiser in the black jar. it has a funny texture and I absolutely adore it.

The happy skin moisturiser is nice, but don't like the other moisturisers.

Bought the mushroom colour eye pencil and it's great as contour, used very lightly, because it just shades, it was no orange tones at all.

the eye patches and the little bottles with skin serum, to be used occasionally.

I quite like it.

BridgetRandomfuck · 16/04/2024 13:03

Been a member for years but don’t buy as much as I used to.

Things I keep buying are:

the various facial oils
Jeju cream cleanser
Happy Face moisturiser
the cream eyeshadow sticks
scented candles

Things I didn’t like:

the hair products - made my hair flyaway
their facial spf - made my eyes sting
their perfumes - very weak and samey (this was when they first came out, they may be better now)
The under eye luminizer thingy - very cakey

Things that were meh:

The One Powder Wonder
the tubing mascara
make up setting spray
youthbomb serum

All in all I think they were better when they had fewer products and you felt like you were getting a bargain. Their claimed rrps for non members are just ridiculous now.

TheBirdintheCave · 16/04/2024 13:05

I really like their setting spray. My mum is a member so my SIL and I benefit from random products being sent our way every now and then 😂

Heatherbell1978 · 16/04/2024 13:07

I've been a member from the start and I really love their products but like others have said, I'm not daft enough to think that it's worth the RRP they say it is. And overall prices have really gone up so I have scaled back on the amount I used to buy.
